Dawson County High School veteran girls' basketball coach Steve Sweat's Lady Tigers' program are in full swing this summer.

The Lady Tigers began practice this week for a very busy summer of games and workouts.

Dawson County is returning a veteran group of players. The team will be led by post players Sheyenne Seabolt and Ashley Parker. The team lost just two seniors from last year's 20-10 Sweet Sixteen playoff run, Madison Shope and Alison Honea.

The Lady Tigers lost to Morgan County, 67-55, in the Sweet Sixteen. Morgan County lost to eventual state champion St. Pius X.

Sweat's team will play at the University of North Georgia this weekend. The team will follow the camp with four more days of workouts before traveling to Jefferson June 17-18.

Dawson County will conclude its camp schedule with a trip to Georgia College June 25-27.

"It will be a busy summer for us," Sweat said.
