Tiger wrestlers compete in Jackson Co.

The Tigers wrestling team traveled to Jackson County Comprehensive High School for the area duals this past weekend. Coach Arron Haynes said Dawson County went in as the seventh seed in the area and left the duals finishing fourth in the area.

The Tigers saw losses to Jackson County and Lumpkin County, but they were able to pick up wins against Greater Atlanta Christian, Hart County, Morgan County and Fannin County.

Individual scores from the area duals were not ready as of press time.

The team traveled to Chestatee Jan. 9 but the results were not available as of press time.

Over the weekend, the Tiger wrestlers will compete at the state duals in Macon. The start time is yet to be determined.
