The 12 and under girls’ Dawson County softball team finished the fall season undefeated.
There wasn’t a team in the league that could compete with the Lady Tigers. The team outscored all 10 teams in the Forsyth County league 102 runs to 51 runs.
Head Coach Richard Daniel said, “These girls are awesome. We had great pitching by Jodie Downs and Tabitha Morrison, with bats to go with them. Emma Daniel, our leadoff hitter, made it to first at every at bat. Brooke Wende had some great hits to the outfield, along with Madeline Moore and Megan Brumbelow. Samantha Keeney, Ansley Costley and Brittany Griggs all hit well and played great defense. Heather Brady, Tatum Bales, Jordan Haney and Lindsay Robinson also contributed defensively and at the plate for the Lady Tigers.
Daniels added, “The whole team played very well and it was a great season.”
