American Legion Post 247 bounced back with an 18-4 win over Cumming on Saturday.
The game proved to be some revenge following a 13-9 loss to the same team on June 19.
Dawson County High School pitcher Jeffrey Partington pitched a complete game for Dawsonville.
"He was great on the mound," said head coach Casey Wilson.
Several players had multi-hit games against Cumming.
David Chester, Sawyer Thompson, Edward Willemse, Partington, Blake Thomas and Clay McClure led the team in hitting.
McClure added a homer in the game.
"We are still progressing and doing well," Wilson said. "The team is currently in first place in the North area and second overall."
Dawsonville is currently 5-4 in league play.
The team will play again Saturday in a home game against Canton.
The first game of the doubleheader will begin at 6 p.m. at Dawson County High School.
