The 12 and under Georgia Stealth Girls Fastpitch Softball Team out of Central Park in Cumming finished in third place in the state championship tournament recently in Dublin, Ga.
The win earned the team a birth to USFA World Series in Panama City, Fla. The tournament began Sunday and will continue through July 18.Results were not available as of press time.
The group of 12 girls from Forsyth, Dawson, Fulton and Pickens counties have worked extremely hard this year to get to the World Series, according to their coaches.
With hitting as a strong asset, the team has several girls who can also play multiple positions very well.
The Stealth team is coached by Alan Russell and former Brenau University center fielder Brooke Borders.
